Florida State University was founded.

Tau Beta Sigma was founded at Oklahoma State Univeristy.
1982
Sports Illustrated featured the Marching Chiefs and stated that "Florida State occasionally may lose a football game, but never a halftime show."
1971
Alpha Omega's little sister chapter, Epsilon Alpha, was installed.
1958
Alpha Omega's little sister chapter, Beta Xi, was installed.
1992
Alpha Omega's little sister chapter, Theta Lambda, was installed.
1930s
The first official band was organized at the Florida State College for Women.
1955
The Alpha Omega Chapter was chartered at Florida State University.
1962
Alpha Omega's little sister chapter, Gamma Epsilon, was installed.
1974
Alpha Omega's little sister chapter, Epsilon Xi, was installed.

Marching Chiefs membership surpassed 400 students.
